Prof. Chan Lam Stephen
Professor, Department of Clinical Oncology, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Professor Chan is currently a clinical professor at the Department of Clinical Oncology of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Prof. Chan graduated from the University of Hong Kong and received the gold medal dissertation award and young investigator award from the Hong Kong College of Physicians.
Over the past 20 years, Prof. Chan has dedicated his time to advancing the clinical management of hepatobiliary, pancreatic, and neuroendocrine tumors via clinical trials and scientific research. He published over 140 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
Prof. Chan is active both locally and internationally with leadership positions including
- Associate Editor, Journal of Hepatology (IF 25.083 in 2020)
- Chair, Education committee, the International Liver Cancer Association (ILCA)
- Trackchair of GI tumours (Non-colorectal), Scientific Steering Committee of the ESMO in 2021
- Founding Chair, the Hand-in-Hand cancer foundation, Hong Kong
