Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Mohd Hafiz Dzarfan Othman obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) in 2004 and completed his Master's study in Gas Engineering from the same institution in 2006. In 2011, he earned his Ph.D. from Imperial College London, United Kingdom and he then continued his services at UTM. Since 2018, he was appointed as Director of Advanced Membrane Technology Research Centre (AMTEC) UTM, one of the Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE) recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. His current research lies on the development of innovative membrane technology in removing pollutants from water and wastewater as well as for efficient energy generation.
