Article Processing Charges
Effective June 2024, the International Journal of Equine Science will consider Article Processing Charges (APCs) for article publication. These charges will apply to accepted manuscripts submitted after May 31, 2024. The purpose of implementing APCs is to cover the costs associated with the publication and distribution of accepted articles in the journal. It is important to note that APCs will only be required if the manuscript is accepted by the Editorial Board. Furthermore, the editorial decisions will remain independent of the APCs and will not be influenced by them.
The APC amount set for publication in our journal will be 300 USD, payable upon acceptance of the article. To accommodate authors from low-income countries, an automatic discount of 50% will be applied. Similarly, authors from lower-middle-income countries will receive an automatic discount of 25%. These discounts will be automatically applied when all the authors are from low-income or lower-middle-income countries.
We also understand that some authors may face financial constraints, and therefore, we will consider waiver requests. Authors seeking a waiver can submit their requests to our email address at waivers@rasayely-journals.com.
In recognition of the invaluable contributions of our Associate Editors and reviewers, we have devised the following APCs waiver policy:
- Full waiver for manuscripts co-authored by one of the Associate Editors.
- 25% waiver for manuscripts co-authored by one of the active reviewers.
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that submissions by authors affiliated with Hartpury University will receive a full waiver.
