Corresponding Author’s Responsibilities

The corresponding author is the individual who takes primary responsibility for communication with the journal during the manuscript submission, peer-review, and publication process.

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Ensuring the manuscript is original, not currently under consideration elsewhere, and contains no plagiarized content or unauthorized copyrighted material.
  • Ensuring that the submitted manuscript meets the author guidelines.
  • Ensuring that all individuals who meet the ICMJE authorship criteria are included in the author list and that no "guest" or "ghost" authors are present.
  • Confirming that all listed co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to its submission to our journal.
  • Providing all necessary ethical statements, including animal welfare committee approvals, informed consent (where applicable), and adherence to relevant reporting guidelines (e.g., ARRIVE).
  • Collecting conflict of interest disclosures from all co-authors.
  • Providing a detailed statement about funding resources.
  • Taking responsibility for the Data Availability Statement and ensuring that raw data is available for inspection by the Editors or Reviewers upon request.
  • Handling all communications on behalf of the co-authors regarding manuscript submission, peer-review, publication, and post-publication inquiries.
  • Taking the main responsibility for communication with the journal during submission, the review process, and the publication process.
  • Ensuring that the manuscript adheres to the Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement.
  • Any request to withdraw a manuscript must be formally submitted and confirmed by the corresponding author.

By acting as the corresponding author, the individual accepts responsibility for the integrity of the work as a whole and ensures that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.
