Join our Editorial Board
The International Journal of Equine Science (IJES) is looking for new members to join its Editorial Board. We must guarantee that the journal can cope with additional submissions while maintaining our high editorial standards as the journal grows. As a result, we're looking to grow our editorial team.
Criteria
Individuals dedicated to open access, data sharing, and scientific publication innovation are encouraged to apply.
Candidates should:
- have a minimum of fifteen (15) peer-reviewed research publications published in reputable English-language journals.
- possess verifiable expertise that is relevant to the journal's scope and needs.
Role and responsibilities
The Editorial Board Member is primarily responsible for:
- deciding whether or not the submitted manuscript falls within the scope of the journal and is of enough quality to be sent out to reviewers;
- handling the review process of submitted manuscripts and taking the final decision whether accepted or rejected;
- protecting authors’ confidentiality and handling submitted manuscripts without revealing its data to anyone outside the review process;
- ensuring a fair, unbiased, objective, and honest peer review process of submitted manuscripts in a timely manner;
- selecting the most suitable reviewers to review the submitted manuscript;
- keeping the reviewers’ identities anonymous to be in line with our single-blinded review process policy;
- ensuring that accepted manuscripts are original, novel, and interesting; and
- replying to the authors’ appeal against the rejections.
