  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • Authors accept our terms regarding article processing charges, copyrights, open access, and privacy statement.

Author Guidelines

All submitted manuscripts are screened by the editorial office in terms of scope, originality, and compatibility with the manuscript preparation guidelines outlined below.

Language

We consider only the manuscripts that are written in English. British and American English spellings are accepted; however, consistency must be maintained throughout the manuscript. If you would like to get our professional English editing service, you may consider our website at https://www.rasayely.com/english-editing-proofreading/

Styles

  • Authors are free to use any font type and size throughout their manuscripts provided that consistency is maintained and the hierarchy of sections, subsections, and sub-sub sections is clear and well-structured.
  • Page numbers should be included
  • Figures, schemes, equations, and tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals and be placed after their first citation in the manuscript.
  • Figures should always be cited in text in consecutive numerical order.
  • Figures, schemes, and charts should be of efficient quality.
  • Figure captions should exist below the figures.
  • Figure parts should be denoted by lowercase letters (a, b, c, etc.).
  • Tables should be included in a table format, not as images
  • Table captions should exist above the tables
  • Equations should be written by Ms. Word equation editor or any other editor, but cannot be in image format. They should be numbered sequentially.
  • Footnotes to tables can be indicated by superscript lower-case letters (or asterisks for significance values and other statistical data) and included below the table.
  • Using international system units is necessary.

Title

The title should be concise and informative and include important keywords.

Authors and Affiliations

  • The name(s) of the author(s).
  • The affiliations of all the authors, i.e. institution, (department), city, (state), country
  • A clear indication (*) to the corresponding author (Usually one author and we accept a maximum of two corresponding authors)
  • Telephone number, fax number, and active e-mail address of the corresponding author
  • Active email addresses for all the authors must be provided.

Graphical Abstract (Optional)

It is highly recommended to include graphical abstract that attracts the attention of the readers and presents the manuscript in a pleasant way. This will help us distribute and promote the article.

Abstract

This should state briefly the scope, purpose, and main findings of the manuscript in no more than 250 words. It should be structured into background, aims, materials and methods, results, and conclusion. It should not contain references and undefined abbreviations.

Keywords

Six to eight words to be included as keywords. These will be used for indexing purposes, so they should well-represent the content of the article.

Supplementary Materials

When there are supplementary materials, this requires proper citation to these materials within the text of the paper. For example, if a supplementary table is submitted, authors should refer to the table as Supplementary Table 1 within the text.

In addition, it requires a section after the conclusion section containing a brief description of the supplementary materials.

Acknowledgments

In this section, authors can acknowledge the contribution of colleagues who do not meet all criteria for authorship and/or any kind of support such as providing materials, guidance, and facilities.

Declarations

All manuscripts must contain the following sections under the heading 'Declarations'.

*Funding

All funding sources for the research should be included. If no funding has been received, authors can simply state that the research has not received any funding.

*Conflicts of Interest

Authors should declare any financial or non-financial relations that may inappropriately influence the study. It can be a simple statement such as “the authors declare that there are no conflicts of interest.” Conflicts of interest exist when:

  • Having financial interest (study sponsors, funds, grants, or any financial support);
  • Using a company’s resources, time, or equipment for personal gain;
  • Working for a competing business;
  • Using intellectual property (patents, copyrights, royalties);
  • Holding shares in a company that might be influenced by your paper.

*Ethical Approval

The Ethical Approval section must be included stating that the study has been approved by the ethical national committee. In addition, the authors should confirm that the study has followed the guidelines of the Declaration of Helsinki.

*Data Availability

Data availability statements should contain guidance on where research data supporting the findings of the study can be found.

*Authors' Contributions

We encourage authors to include the Authors' Contribution section in which they should outline the contribution of each author to the paper.

References

References can be in any style provided that consistency is maintained throughout the manuscript. Every reference must be cited in the text and vice versa.
